Victorie Spoils Party for Fleet and Frankel
There was a hockey double-header on Saturday at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. The Boston Bruins earlier in the day failed to secure a playoff spot by losing to the Tampa Bay Lighting 2-1. But this is not what this article is about. This article is about how the Professional Women’s Hockey League stage its first ever game at a sold-out TD Garden between the Boston Fleet and the Montréal Victoire.

France and Mbappe Beat Brazil at Gillette Stadium
As I went to Gillette Stadium to see a practice match between France and Brazil, I came out of the match feeling like it was money well spent. The atmosphere was tense for a friendly and the fans made it feel like it was a life-or-death situation – even if this was a practice match for the World Cup.
Brazil vs. France Gillette Stadium Roadtrip
At Gillette for my first roadtrip with my dad to watch the Brazil vs. France friendly soccer match. Having an awesome time being among the sports fans.
Road to 26: Brazil v. France at Gillette Stadium
Heading to Gillette Stadium to attend the Brazil v. France friendly in soccer. Excited to be on this roadtrip with my dad. It will be an interesting tryout for players trying to get roster spots for this year’s World Cup. Also, it will be an interesting tryout for the pitch to see if there are any improvements that need to happen, before the FIFA World Cup tournament begins.
Road to 26: Brazil v. France
Duke is counting the days until the Road to 26: Brazil v. France game at Gillette Stadium.
United States’ Fatal Flaw Proves to be Their Undoing, Lose Championship to Venezuela
The United States pitching finally was their undoing in the WBC. Against Venezuela, they gave up 2 runs early on to make it 2-0. Bryce Harper’s heroics in the 8th inning gave the US a shot as the game was tied 2-2 heading into the 9th inning. However, the pitching sealed the game in the 9th inning as Venezuela would score another run to make it 3-2 and win the championship.
Henderson, Anthony, Beating Dominican Republic in WBC Semis
United States has best game of WBC, thanks to Henderson, Anthony, beating Dominican Republic in Semis. For the United States to beat the Dominican Republic in the semifinals of the WBC, they needed to be absolutely perfect. Thankfully, they did just that. The United States gave up a home run in the bottom of the 2nd inning to make it 1-0 Dominican Republic, so the United States had to bear down to get back in the game. Examples of this occurred in the bottom of the 3rd inning as Aaron Judge had to throw out Fernando Tatis Jr of the Dominican Republic, who is a fast runner, at third base to end the inning. In the top of the 4th inning, US manager, Mark DeRosa’s move to put Gunnar Henderson in the lineup thanks to his recent success against the Dominican Republic’s pitcher Luis Serverino paid off as Henderson hit a homerun to make it 1-1.
Judge, Anthony Continue to Grapple with Pitching Woes as US beats Canada in QF
Before we recap US-Canada, the Unnamed Sports Blog would like to send our condolences to South Korea who had to fly all the way from Tokyo to Miami just to get curb stomped by the Dominican Republic 10-0 in a game that ended in a mercy ruling. It is painful enough that teams have to fly such a long distance on such a short time frame and with little time to practice, but not scoring any runs and the game ending in a mercy ruling is such a cruel way to end your WBC run.
Judge, Anthony, US Almost Imploded In WBC
Despite a feel-good victory over Mexico, the United States almost imploded and was nearly eliminated unexpectedly in group play. In the US vs. Mexico game, Aaron Judge hit a 2-run homerun to start the game. Plenty of Boston Red Sox stars saw action in this game. Roman Anthony hit a 3-run home run that traveled 417 feet. Jared Duran for Mexico hit 2 homeruns in this game. Garrett Whitlock of the US recorded the save and the United States would hold off Mexico 5-3.
US, Judge, Anthony Survive Slow Starts, Demolishing Brazil and United Kingdom
It took only his first at bat for Aaron Judge to declare the United States’ intentions in the World Baseball Classic. Those intentions were to win. Judge hit a home run to make it 2-0 over Brazil. However, the United States had to overcome sluggish starts to secure big victories over Brazil and the United Kingdom.

This tournament has become so popular that Clayton Kershaw of the US came out of retirement just to end his career in this event.

With 40.5 seconds left in the 1st period, Tage Thompson of the US scores on a power play goal to make it 2-0 United States!
Jack Hughes of the United States scores to make 3-0 in the 2nd period. Just 19 seconds later, Jack Eichel of North Chelmsford, MA scores to make it 4-0! Slovakia is forced to switch goalies much to the frustration of the goalie being switch. It made no difference as Jack Hughes would score his second goal of the night to make it 5-0 US!

She did not play against the United States last time due to injury.
