Christian Gonzalez and AJ Brown return for the Patriots vs the New York Jets on a beautiful fall day in New England. The Patriots almost gave up a touchdown on the first drive but the Jets were called back for an offensive pass interference and had to settle for field goal for a Jets 3-0 lead. After a couple punts between the two teams, Drake Maye would throw a 42-yard touchdown to Romeo Doubs.  The Patriots take the lead 7-3, but Doubs would be injured on the play and ruled out for the rest of the game.

1^st Quarter

 Patriots came into Sunday’s game with something to prove as they seek their second straight win. The Patriots started hot on their opening drive as Drake Maye found DeMario Douglas thanks to Raiders blown coverage to make it 7-0 Patriots. The Raiders would answer right back with Kirk Cousins of the Raiders throwing a touchdown to tie the game 7-7.

Patriots went into their Bills game with high stakes. Patriots went into this game with key players on defense such as Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore being ruled out due to shoulder injury. 

Patriots going into their week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers were seeking redemption for their implosion against the Seattle Seahawks. The game started rough for the Patriots as on their first drive they fumble the ball. However, the Steelers could not cash in on the fumble.

·         Ohio State recovered a fumble on the first offensive play of the game. It would lead to an Ohio State field goal. Ryan Day, head coach of Ohio State and University of New Hampshire alumni was disappointed by that drive as he wanted the team to score a touchdown.

Before the Patriots took the field against the Seahawks in the NFL Kickoff game, they had to deal with something that few NFL teams deal with in opening games: watching the opposing team raise a Super Bowl banner as losers of the Super Bowl.

Tommy DeVito did his second start of the preseason. Uneventful on the first drive except a conversion on 2^nd and 20. Uneventful on the 2^nd drive. DeVito ran for 36 yards on the 3^rd drive and led to field goal.

Tommy DeVito gets the start over Drake Maye. Some say that it is because of the turf situation at Gillette Stadium. First drive was somewhat of a success as DeVito got the team into field goal range and gain 44 yards.

For the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, Duke is picking Spain over Argentina.

Duke is putting his paws behind Spain to finish the tournament as World Cup champions.

France, who practiced at Bentley University in Boston, took on Spain in the semifinals of the World Cup in Dallas. In the first half, France fouled Spain in the penalty box with a kick above the waist by the French defender. Spain was awarded a penalty kick as a result.

 France and Morocco rivalry was on full display in the Quarterfinals of the 2026 World Cup. This was the last match in Boston for this World Cup. This was also a rematch of the 2022 World Cup Semifinals which France won.

United States emotions got the better of them at the start when the Belgium destroy them on the pitch. Matt Freese, a Harvard alumnus, was under siege and as a result Belgium got an easy goal at 9 minutes by Charles De Ketelaere to make it 1-0. The United States would calm down and Malik Tillman would score off the free kick and deflection in the 31^st minute to make it 1-1. However, the United States’ emotions would get the better of them again just 61 seconds later. De Ketelaere would score again to make it 2-1 Belgium in the 33^rd minute. Halftime could not come at a better time for the US as this was one of the worst halves they had in this World Cup.

United States entered the knockout stage of the World Cup against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Round of 32. Matt Freese, Harvard alumnus, returns as goalkeeper for the US.

Germany and Paraguay met in a Round of 32 match in Boston Stadium. The Group Stage no longer matters. It was win or go home. The crowd was 50/50 for both teams. Germany dominated the match early on as they control possession. However, they were unable to capitalize in turning their possession of the ball into goals.  As a result of the German inability to score goals, Paraguay shocked their opponents by letting Julio Enciso convert a header and scored in the 42^nd minute to make it 1-0 Paraguay. They would retain that lead at halftime.
