Spain, Oyarzabal, Porro, Dominate France in Semifinals
France, who practiced at Bentley University in Boston, took on Spain in the semifinals of the World Cup in Dallas. In the first half, France fouled Spain in the penalty box with a kick above the waist by the French defender. Spain was awarded a penalty kick as a result.
Mikel Oyarzabal scored the Spanish penalty kick in the 22nd minute to make it 1-0 Spain. This would be the first time France was trailing in the World Cup. The first half would end with Spain in control of the match.
Spain would continue be control of the match in the second half. France would misplace where Pedro Porro of Spain was and in the 58th minute, would score to make it 2-0 Spain. Spain would remain in control for the rest of the match and win the match 2-0.
Spain is moving onto the Final on Sunday and France will play in the 3rd place match on Saturday.
