‍ ‍Are Maye and Patriots for Real and Other 2026-27 Schedule Thoughts

• Maye and Patriots will be tested at the beginning as they have to stomach the banner raising by the Seahawks in the opening game in a Super Bowl rematch. The Pats then have to play the Steelers whose quarterback situation is unknown at this time. Then go on the road again to play the best team in the AFC South last season, the Jaguars who are playing in Orlando, FL this year due to a two-year renovation of the stadium in Jacksonville.  Next, they will play the Bills on the road in their new stadium. Could be tough sledding if they can’t find their feet fast.

•    Fernando Mendoza, the number 1 pick in the draft for the Raiders, visits the Patriots on October 11.

•   Tom Brady will (tentatively) call his first game at Gillette for FOX when the Patriots take on the Packers on November 8.

• The Patriots will play the Lions on November 15 in Munich, Germany.  Let’s hope it goes better than the last time the Pats visited Germany.

• The Patriots will either get presents or coal when they play the Chiefs on Monday Night Football during Christmas week.

• Overall, the cupcake schedule that the Patriots had last season is non-existent so far this season. This season will determine if the Patriots are for real or not.
